RACE 6 - #4 – SHOP LIFTING – 6/1 – WP – This is an ALL race for rolling wagers.
We’ve decided to back this runner from the barn of Tony Dutrow he’s just worked this filly in quick fashion two times in 10 days and this is a big angle, we’ve capitalized on through the years.
Also, this connex dropped $475K on her at the Keeneland September fall sale last year.
RACE 7 – PASS
RACE 8 – EXACTA BOX – 2-4-6-7
RACE 9 - #5 – NEW YORK THUNDER – 5/2 – WP – We CASHED on him last out and we feel he’s just a FREAK!!
RACE 10 - #5 – ECHO ZULU – 7/5 – W – If this price holds at post, it’ll be an overlay!
She’s in FREAK MODE right now!!
RACE 11 - #1 – SOLDIER RISING (GB) – 5/1 – WP – He had a horrible trip last out and prior to that race, he ran into two monsters in the Manhattan and the Man O War.
He fits with this group and if he can carve out a clean trip from the hedge, he’ll be there at the wire.
RACE 12
THE TRAVERS
– FORTE – 7/5 – As DJ Khaled all is he does is win! He’s so under appreciated as he’s won 7 of 9 races and has so much fight in him.
Many don’t think, but he should’ve been DQ’ed last out as IHerd bulldog his way to the victory by the slimmest margins in the Jim Dandy.
– ARCANGELO – 5/2 – He was underestimated in the Belmont and ran a beautiful race as he was the best horse that day easily.
His works leading up to The Travers have been sensational and we’re just not sold he needed a start in between the Belmont to the Travers, we’ll see down the lane this afternoon.
Another big tell how good he must be is JJ would never commit to Mage, so they forced his hand and choose Luis, and now Luis is on the sidelines.
– Tapit Trice – 12/1 – He’s been a disappointment since his Blue Grass win and that win that afternoon over Verifying as LEGIT.
Brad Cox stated he still don’t know how Verifying lost that race and he told ownership before the Blue Grass he’s not losing!
If Tapit Trice CAN run back to that effort, he can win the Travers today, he only was 1 ½ off in his show finish in the Belmont.
We’d suggest to TOSS the last in Jersey as if it was an health issue, TAP wouldn’t be running him today in The Travers.
– Mage – 4/1 – He doesn’t get much respect for being a Kentucky Derby winner.
His race in the Haskell was very impressive since they stated he was only about 70% and were using that race as a prep for today’s race.
– National Treasure – 8/1 – Ran a poor race in the Belmont and now ships from the Left Coast to the East Coast for Bullett Bob!
He’ll be a pace factor today and we wouldn’t be shocked by anyone of these colts to win this year’s edition of The Travers!
– Disarm – 8/1 – We backed him in the La. Derby, he was a little short that afternoon. They wheeled him right back to the Lexington to get enough points for the Kentucky Derby start.
Steve’s always been extremely high on this colt and they’re also adding the hood trying to make up a few lengths on the top runners in this field.
– Scotland – 12/1 – The BUZZ HORSE of all time, he’ll be nowhere near this morning line, we’ll be shocked if he’s 6/1, half of this price.
Bill Mott is super high on him as well and he’ll get the perfect trip today either on the lead or right off National Treasure, we’ll he be good enough down the lane to the wire.
WAGERING STRATEGIES
#4 – MAGE – 4/1 – WP – We’re heeding the warning from his connex.
They were loud and clear about The Haskell being a prep for this race and if you listened to any of there interviews after the Kentucky Derby, the stated over and over the goal is winning The Travers.
We love those back-to-back 6F works, the PUMA has this Good Magic colt on tilt for today and let’s hope Prat can pilot him to the winners’ circle.
EXACTA KEY – 4 OVER ALL
NOTE: WE’LL HAVE A WIN TICKET ON #3 - TAPIT TRICE AT THIS PRICE, HE’S BEEN BASHED OVER AND OVER AND TODAY WITH THE HOOD ADDED AND JOSE IN THE IRONS, MIGHT BE HIS DAY!!!
RACE 13 - #8 – TORIGO – 6/1 – WP – He ran into monster in his three-year-old debut, he’ll be much fitter and tighter today when the real running commences down the lane.
